Amplifying voices and stories that promote equality and unity.

Welcome
At Uncle's corner Shop, we couldn't care less which piece of land you were born on, what religion you follow- if any, who you choose to love, your skin tone, your skill set, what class or caste system you fall into ( let's be honest, the entire system and how it effects the way we treat each other is ridiculous!). We don't care what car you drive or if you even know how to. We're not bothered about your dodgy taste in music, shape, size, your accent, gender or non binary identity, age, disabilities, abilities, the symmetry of your face, how much is in your bank account etc.
We're all humans on a planet spinning in the middle of nowhere. Marginalising each other for any of the above only highlights our neglect to engage with our own intelligence as human beings
...WELCOME TO UNCLE'S CORNER SHOP!

Did you know that according to the World Health organisation, 77% of Nigerian women bleach their skin? An estimated 60% of Indian women — and 10% of men — say they use skin lightening products. It's not just inclusive to these countries. Millions of people all over the world are literally pouring bleach onto their skin to become whiter. The global market for skin bleaching products is estimated between $10 and $20 billion.
It's normalised insanity.
Where do you think these ideas
of lighter skin being better came from?
How can we change this narrative
for future generations?
