Akira Amani

About
Hello, I'm a multidisciplinary artist and designer from London. Although I enjoy exploring diverse art styles, my personal artwork is based on storytelling and creating imagery that evokes empowerment through an ethereal aesthetic with a fierce dark edge.
I've had the privilege of collaborating with a wide range of brands, both established and start ups since 2010. In addition to my commercial work, I am the founder of an empowering wearable art label, where I strive to merge art, fashion and well-being. Find out more by clicking here.

Teaching and workshops
I am a self taught fine artist and illustrator with a BA (Hons) in Design Communication from Chelsea College of Arts, UAL and a PGCE from Goldsmiths University. My practice is informed by over ten years of experience in the creative industry and a strong commitment to creative education and inclusion. Alongside my studio work, I have developed and delivered UAL accredited courses at the Brit school, supporting young emerging creatives from all backgrounds to develop confidence, skills, and pathways into the creative industries.
Today, I extend my teaching expertise and industry experience to adults through personalised one-to-one sessions in South London. If you'd like to find out more please do get in touch via the form below.
I've been fortunate to have freelanced with a variety of brands since 2010. Here are a selected few...
