Since 2012.

Every piece in this collection is meticulously crafted with a specific meaning in mind, aimed at celebrating and empowering you. What sets this collection apart is its departure from the conventional model of seasonal jewelry fashion. These pieces transcend trends; they are timeless symbols of significance. Their enduring meaning and the emotions they evoke will never fade, ensuring they remain relevant and cherished for generations to come. They are not just accessories; they are heirlooms, meant to be treasured and passed down, serving as reminders to live fearlessly. Each piece is handmade to order, not only ensuring its uniqueness but also contributing to the reduction of waste—an added bonus to their enduring appeal.

How it began...

After spending years as a graphic designer within corporate settings, I found myself increasingly frustrated by the constraints and limited creative freedom. This frustration ultimately sparked a pivotal shift in my career path. In 2012, I took the bold step of showcasing my personal artwork in galleries.

During one such exhibition, a visitor's heartfelt remark profoundly impacted me. Pointing to a piece I had created, they expressed a wish to carry it with them always, as it evoked a sense of empowerment. This sentiment resonated deeply with me, as that particular artwork had been a source of strength during a period of adversity in my own life.

Determined to fulfill this desire, I embarked on a journey to transform my artwork into wearable pieces. My goal was to provide individuals with a tangible reminder of their inner strength, allowing them to feel unstoppable in the face of any challenge.

Love Yourself-ies!

Akira Amani Workshops, Exhibitions & more...

Driven by firsthand feedback from customers, I witnessed the profound impact of my wearable art on individuals' self-esteem. Motivated by this realisation, I initiated free wearable art workshops for young people. These workshops provided a platform for them to design their own personalised pieces and express themselves creatively. Additionally, I curated exhibitions showcasing their creations. Witnessing the transformative effect of seeing their wearable art on display, and observing their confidence soar, was incredibly rewarding. I feel privileged to have collaborated with exceptionally talented teens throughout this endeavor.

Furthermore, I've actively participated in numerous exhibitions, craft markets, and art shows across London. Engaging with customers face-to-face and assisting them in selecting their Akira Amani wearable art has always been the most gratifying aspect of this journey.

Other highlights include:

  • Being selected to showcase with Shopcade at London Fashion Week 2014.

  • Approached by Not On The High Street and distributed through them from 2012-2016.

  • Invited by Legendary to develop jewellery merchandise for the release of Guillermo del Toro's film Crimson Peak.

Reducing Waste

The offcuts (unused parts of the acrylic) produced during the production of each piece of wearable art are sent to workshops that create new acrylic sheets from the unused pieces.

The packaging of the Akira Amani wearable art is 100% reusable and recyclable, as well as being made from recycled materials.
